I feel so guilty; it’s been over a year since blogged!
Guilty pleasures, no that is not what we are writing about
today!
I don’t do January 1st resolutions, I do January
9th resolutions (my birthday for those of you not in the know!),
over the years I have noticed that when my resolutions start on my birthday I
am more apt to follow through with my goal. I have also learned to only have one very specific
resolution, too many or too complicated and I am doomed!
Last year, I had two resolutions. The first resolution was to stop drinking all soda
pop, basically because it is so unhealthy – and truthfully I want to lose
weight and I’ve always read how much weight you put on while drinking
soda. My second resolution was to
lose weight (well duh, what did I say in the previous sentence?) mainly by
eating healthier (again duh, cut out soda).
Conclusions for last year’s resolutions, I still have not
drank a soda pop and we are into the second year! I still crave soda pop; the grocery store (really any store
that sells pop) is still really difficult for me. If only I could stay out of stores, which is funny if you
know me well – I hate any kind of shopping! Ok, those of you who really know me, know that I love office
supply stores, hardware stores, and garden stores! Second resolution, lose weight, I did lose and keep off 20
lbs. I would have preferred to
lose more weight than 20 lbs, but I am happy with what I managed to lose and
will keep working on losing.
I am somewhat superstitious about new years resolutions, so
I won’t tell you what this year’s resolution is – there is only one and it is
very specific!
